I have a Kenmore washer model # 110.24622300. This Whirlpool lid switch worked perfectly on my Kenmore. I'm doing a much needed load of laundry right now! So that's it as far as my review. It fit and works perfectly. I'm very satisfied.
Hopefully someone else gets some value out of this next piece. I found these instructions for removing the back panel with those clips. I wish I had these when I was taking the back panel off. Regardless, they were invaluable when trying to put the back panel back on.

step 1 - remove control panel by removing the end caps of the back guard. grab the top of end caps at the top in the back and pull forward (I put a screwdriver in there to help pry it up.) They will un-clip. Then remove the two screws found behind caps at the bottom. grab the control panel on both side and swing bottom towards you while pulling up. it will fold over the top of back panel.
step 2 - remove the cabinet by removing the gold colored clips on each side. use a screw driver to pry the front of the clip forward and up. unplug the lid switch in the top. one clip three wires. open the lid and tilt cabinet forward to about a 45 degree angle and slide away from machine.

The lesson I learned from all this is that you should never just let the lid of your washer drop shut. I didn't know why I shouldn't be doing that previously although now that I think about it it's obvious. NOW I know!

I was told that it would cost me $75 to $125 to have the washer lid switch replaced on my GE One speed 9 year old builder quality washer by a repair service. And no less than $25 for the part. But I ordered this replacement part that was shipped the very same day, and I got it via USPS in just 2 days. I installed myself, with the help of this very good video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFsvLiuTniU, that took me about :30 minutes. I never repaired a washer before and had no idea what to expect, but it was a very clean and easy repair. The price was Excellent, delivery was Fast and the part WORKS GREAT!

Our washer would not drain or spin and thought that it was a gonner. I found a link on Youtube on how to fix my Kenmore 80 Series washer with this switch. It only took me about 20 minutes to repair and saved me at least $200 (for an in home repair) or maybe even $500 (for a new washer).
